The bilge would not work on my PIV so got underneath my dash and swapped the wires to see if it was the pump or the switch. I then figured out that the bilge worked and that it was the button (switch) that was not any good, so I guess my question is do I have to replace the entire pad or how can it be fixed? This is my first cat and have not had any problems with anything until this, I hope that it is any easy fix. Any help on what to do would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and if I need a dealer that may be another problem since my dealer is no longer carrying Basscat ( Airport Marine). Thanks in advance! The boat is a 2006 PIV.Thanks,Robbie

Thanks, I sent the service an e-mail hopefully they will send me one back with good news. You guys are great. Another thing apparently my boat is not registered with you guys. The reason I say that is because my good friend that is also a Cat owner received a letter from you guys regarding the news that Airport Marine was no longer carrying Basscat. I thought that they told me that they would send in the registration for me but I guess I should have taken those matters in my own hands, but never the less I didnt so what do I need to do to get that done? Thanks. Robbie
Also it is a lot easier to test pumps/ switches by doing it at the bilge end. Simply unplug easy to get at bullet connectors and swap them to test! Also in a pinch I have swaped my pumpout pump cartridge for my areator pump cartridge in seconds to save the day on a 1st place bag of fish. I love how easy it is to get and change the pumps in my cat! One of the reasons Cats are the best
You may be registered, though that was from a list of original owners mostly around Alabama. As we can not track all of the used boats in that area which go to Virginia, Florida or wherever. You may be in the system, though not on the original purchase. Check with Marcy. BCB ADmin.
I am an original owner I purchased it new in May of 2006 from Airport Marine. That friend of mine bought one and I went back 2 weeks later and had to have one so I traded in my old boat and bought me a Basscat and have loved it from the first day. I kind of feel fortunate to only have had this minor set back being that it is a 2006 but that it why I chose your guys boat because I could tell how much effort goes into the product that you guys build. I would just like to get it registered with you guys, I thought that it was weird that I never received my jacket from you guys from having purchased the boat, but I am a simple person and I dont like to nag on senseless things. The Basscat Family is great and thanks for the help. Thanks,Robbie
If the boat was a Promotional or Dealer Demo boat they had, then there would be no registration as the paperwork is closed at delivery. We suspect that was the situation, even though it may have been new, on this boat. The not receiving a jacket leads us to think that. It could have been another reason. Though if you purchased from Airport Marine and it was a Dealer Demo you would have gotten the registration for Quest, unless it was a promotional unit and not a dealer unit. Promotional units do not transfer on second purchase no matter the point of sale. Only retail units transfer through a dealership sale. BCB
I just got off the phone with Marcy and she has taken care of it for me. She said that there was not a registration card but that she had the order form for the boat by the VIN #, never the less she has taken care of it for me and I am now registered with you guys. I want to thank her and your staff a job well done you guys are amazing. Thanks, Robbie
