I was messing around with the Desgin a Cat feature on the website and it has lead me to a question about available colors. Can a solid color (not a a flake color) be chosen for the trim stripe? It does not give the option on the site so I was checking. I see the color I would like to have on the Hull, Boot , Bolt parts but not on the trim stripe.

solid colors cannot be used for trim stripes.

That is correct due to the method of application it must be a flake.

I would assume you can put whatever color you want where you want but Im not sure. I ordered my boat through H2O Sportz and they had some colored pieces that I could hold in my hand to look at. I told them what colors I wanted and where and they made it happen.

I guess Ill have to figure out another color scheme then. I found another boat colored almost exactly like I wanted minus the console.

The trim lines on the deck make a fourth, or fifth, and even sixth color on a Bass Cat deck. The black gel on the 1/8″ pin lines require a flake in the 1/4″ trim stripe. The hull trim is 1/2″ with 1/4″ pins and is more forgiving if it were stand alone. To keep Gelcoat Dept. times reasonable we require upper and lower trim stripes to match so that the deck and hull can be shot in the same booth at the same time.

You should get your dealer to send you some paint plates.Seems like I heard the sand may be more yellow than what it appears on the build-a-boat.
