Which company are you guys insuring your Cats through? Looking for the best boat insurance company to go through. Best not necessarily being the cheapest but rather best service when you need them, someone actually answers within a couple minutes when you call and still decently priced. Opinions?ThanksChrisSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I sure wish our insurance was that cheap. I pay over $600 per year on basically the same rig. Congrats, sounds like a good deal. I guess maybe they know yours isnt going to leave the garage I switched recently to http://www.fishing4insurance.com good bunch of guys who fish a lot of local stuff but are licensed in a bunch of states that border TX…I believe they even go into MO. Judd, did you try progressive?
They do handle Progressive but are an independant. Since they were going to save me over $500 per year by putting it with my home and auto we put it all with Germania, a TX based company. JL

I have Safeco of Illinois. Im paying $291 per year on my 2001 Pantera for flat coverage of $17K. They just totalled out my old boat and didnt charge the deductible. Im happy here in KY. I generally dont solicit business on the forum, however since it has already been mentioned, I will throw my hat in the ring. We recently started a Farmers Insurance Agency here in Wylie, Tx and I would appreciate the opportunity to put together a quote for any of my fellow Texans. We have some competitive rates and can offer agreed value on newer models. Plus we can cover your vehicles, home and business, etc…. WELL THATS 2 SCOTT IN TEXAS….CHET IN ALABAMA……IF WE CAN HELP ANY OF THESE GUYS,,,,IM FOR IT…….BEST OF LUCK ROBIN
Well just have to give ole Scott a chance to make a dollar here in a few weeks when I get my boat. Heck, if hes good enough he might get the whole nine yards.
Scott: I guess I need you. I have Farmers for everything and they did Foremost for 06 Cougar (new about 11 months ago). My premium is about $77.00 every month on auto pay. That is ridiculous. I was out of state alot in the past but I told them they better get it down or else. After I griped they decreased by boat/vehicle and said my motorcycle was going down. I have completed motorcycle, boat and AARP vehicle safety courses. How do you guys get cheap boat insurance? I was told my boat insurance was going to be $ 50.35/month now. That is still over $600 a year. I have a clean record and going on 60. When I read these things I am disappointed. I was assigned this agent when the other quit. I have been with them a long time and am hesitant to move companies. Scott can you clarify some of this? My email is mooseorgorilla@yahoo.com Moose
Alright, our perspective is different and we have dealt with insurance companies at all levels. We would look through a local agency first, then online on Bass Boat Central as there are a few there that niche the market. Those do seem to generate more caring transactions should you need them than the big box online sales.
might try Worldwide Marine Underwriters
My local marina told me the ones that pay out the easiest are Farmers and State Farm. I have my house, cars, and boat insured through State Farm, and recently had a lower unit replaced. All it took was a phone call to submit the claim, and then a couple of emailed pictures, and the check was at my house in a week or so.

I have all my stuff through State Farm as well so that will be easy enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have used American Family for over 20 years. Their package includes on and off water towing if you break down and pays what the policy states with no hassle. I have used both the on and off water towing with no cost to me and replaced a boat because it was totaled in a wreck. If you have recent pictures or video of your boat and trailer, they will replace at the level of quality in the pictures. As always, pick a good local insurance agent who cares about his clients.Wizard
