Im confused on a few things in regards to the 2016 Caracal.1. If you go with the Merc 225 I was told by the new Jason at BCB that the “Standard” equipped gauge provided data such as hours, engine temp etc? and that the Smartcraft was just an upgrade to that? 2. What type of “trim” button/lever is standard if you option to buy the Atlas Hyd. Plate? Or is the trim lever extra?More questions to come Im sure.
The jackplate comes with a toggle switch standard, the Teleflex Pro Trim stalk switches are an option. The Hour and Temp indicator is not a standard gauge, that is the SmartCraft option.
Not to high jack this post but if you order the smartcraft option, what other gauges come with/on the console? Does one need to add a specific gauge, say water pressure or fuel for example?
It depends with SmartCraft.. You actually have 2 options.. One is SmartCraft Gauges you have all SC link digital gauges.. 2nd Option is the SmartCraft MercMonitor with that option you still have analog gauges other than the monitor.. As mentioned it isnt standard gauges that will give you the valuable engine data…The Pro Trim or Dual Pro Trim are both options.. With the Atlas & Hot Foot options Im sure youll want the dual Pro Trim..
