Well his lips have moved, so we know he has lied. But you got a great offensive mind and will probably do well. He is committed to the run, but that offense is going to open wide up! Have fun and enjoy. Just dont get too used to it, because no matter what he says, every open job is a possibilty for Bobby Petrino. UL Cardinal Fan Joe Smith
What gets me furious is how ESPN has become the “Big Brother” of the sports world. The Heismann show was basically geared toward Tebow(congrats, by the way) in the specials and how the order of the features were done. All season, they have been behind the scenes, talking to “reliable sources”, pointing out weaknesses, and still crying support for the Big 10 over the other conferences. Now, Petrino comes to Arkansas, and while it could have been handled better by both sides( Arkansas just doesnt have good timing patterns!), ESPN hurries to play up negatives and bash the parties. Then they point out that another coach left a team before the season was over in 1976, Lou Holtz(NYJets), to come to Arkansas………..SO WHAT? That was 30 yrs ago! ESPN will sacrifice one of their “own” to get a story. The way they run things into the ground is ridiculous…what happened to the “4 hour block of bass fishing” on Saturdays? BassCenter? I have to get up at 5 am to see that one. Outside of finally seeing how they almost single handedly crippled BASS, they havent let up in their strong arm tactics…”You want this to happen, so we will make it happen”. Just my two cents………..96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
JIG,, CONGRATS ON PETRINO………LOOKS LIKE IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT… ROBIN
How about the coachs in the SEC now. We are stacked with coaching talent. Going to be tough to win a conference game. Division winners may have two losses every year. Congrats Hogs.Chet
Thanks on the congrats, and I agree, an interesting and agonizing wait. But WOW! There is definitely no other conference in college football that has the group of coaches that the SEC does. There is a down side to all this…makes it that much harder to get to national championship game. That being said… Go Hogs!96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
It may be a good decision, may not, only time will tell. As a Hog fan I am glad to see that we didnt manage to get someone a raise at a different school. The way I see it is, he is not making this move for financial reasons, he probaly wants to prove himself in the SEC as a head coach, if he can do that while taking the Hogs with him, great! And Bama I agree 2 loss teams playing for SEC champ may be norm from now on, but pending LSU vs. Bucks, a two loss SEC team could be better than an undefeated or 1 loss BIG 10 or Pac 10 team.
Its 5:30 in Vegas, is Petrino still at Arkansas? Wait until Run DMC declares for the draft, then what? Your right about the coaches in the SEC, most seem really nice- But when Alabama plays Arkansas you better cut that grass awful short so those two snakes can see out on the field.
Being from Jawja, Im not too happy about the way Petrino left. Not that Im a big Falcons fan, but the guy has NO class leaving the way he did. What chaps my arse is how he had just told the owner (Arthur Blank) he was his going to stay as his coach, than 24 hours later Arthur shows his support for Petrino on national television on the MNF game …..and then Petrino resigns. One more thing, Jerry Jones is also a classless son of a gun too for coordinating the whole mess behind closed doors. No offense to hog fans but I hope Petrino suffers that same fate as Saban did when he left LSU. Like one of the Falcons said yesterday, Petrino wasnt man enough to coach in the NFL ! GEAUX TIGERS

GEAUX TIGERS Obviously, Saban, Spurrier, and even Pete Carroll at USC fit that bill too………….? The NFL is a whole other ballgame altogether, and pros get paid to play or not depending how they feel. Being a job to play must be tough.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
