I have been looking to possible sell my older BassCat and get a Bobcat or Margay. For some reason, I just love these boats. I fish alone 99% of the time. I mostly fish Beaver Lake and Norfork in Arkansas. I know several guys who fish 18 1/2’ aluminum boats on these lakes. But I’ve been told the Bobcat/Margay isn’t big enough for them. However, I would think a 17 1/2’ fiberglass boat that is as well built as a BassCat would handle these lakes just fine. Concern seems to be the fact that more and more wake boats are on the lakes and the wake can be an issue for a smaller boat. Would love to hear from anyone fishing a Bobcat or Margay on these lakes and what they think.
