I have a 2000 cougar with the BP 2000 all is well except a blinking fault indicator and beep when using the aerator on auto or manual. the spray is working but it seems about 60% of the nozzles are plugged will this cause the fault indicator by drawing too much current? Also there seems to be no flush out on this boat for the aerator any ideas on how to clean the nozzles?Irv

The fault signal can be clogged aeration lines pulling the motor down, electric motor failing, poor connections and more. The pumps may run fine, though the fault shows from voltage errors. A pump not working at all will fault. Removing the stern light will fault as no power flows. NO flow of power and the wrong levels show fault codes, and eventually shut that portion down. Too much or too little current basically. Some pumps will fault without water pulling the motor down for example, from too little amp draw.

Are you saying the holes that the water comes out of are blocked? In the old days, we used to stick the end of a worm hook up in there and wiggle it around while the water was pumping. Should be a flush valve on the rear of the livewells for most models. Just twist the valve and let the water run through the spray bar clearing them. Use a probe to press the trash into the tube and let it run in the bilge. BCB

Look at the ends of the livewells, on the back walls in the sump area.

nope no valves ther just the over flow the fill and the spray bar hoses do the caps on the end of the spray bar srcew off or are they glued

An Option on that model obviously. Air into the holes with a blower helps take it out the rear.
