BP101 analog retrofit question..

I currently have the BP101 analog retrofit dash on order from BC and was wondering if there are any guage upgrade options, or is what comes standard with the retro analog panel good enough or the only package of guages that will fit in this application? I have a 200 Yamaha v-Max, does the motor make a difference, or is it simply the room available on the dash panel which might only allow enough room for the speedo and tach BC supplies with the retrofit dash? Thanks for your insight here!

Gages? The gages like tach, and water pressure are connected to your motor. Not your BP101. Speedo is usually connected to a pickup on your motor. Fuel is connected to the fuel tank senders or interface modules depending on how fancy your gages are. The fuel tank senders may be switched through your BCB switch plate though. Yes, you are missing something. BC sells an analog dash panel for those wanting to retrofit/replace their failed BP101 digital dash assemblies. The analog dash kit comes with BC supplied Tach, Speedo, fuel, and trim, guages. Im inquiring as to whether these can be upgraded in any way shape or form. If not, so be it If so, what might those options be? Pics of this analog retrofit dash can be found on the BC parts webpage.

I talked to one of the new guys in parts and he wasnt sure. BC, are you aware of any gauge (speedo, tach, etc) upgrade options available for the BP 101 analog dash conversion kit, beyond what you show that comes standard on the website? Are they standard Teleflex gauges? Are there better ones to be installed, or should I just take what is sent to me from the BC factory?

Fish, I installed my retro last year with the supplied guages and I have had NO issues or problems. It was a perfect fit. I had to drill holes for the 4 guage cluster on the left of steering which took some time but when it was all said and done, It was not hard and looks great. BCB helped me with a couple of questions I had. I like it much better than the 101 dash. Good luck and you will be perfectly fine with what is supplied. Regards, Brian

I guess Ill just go with whatever they send, no problem. Did you add the security feature to your analog retro? I ordered it with mine, an extra $100, wondering if it interfaces with the A-10 panel or otherwise…….??
