BR200 is fishing in 5th place on the co-angler side tomorrow. He drew out with a friend if his that he fished with back in 2008 when BR200 won the Weekend Series regional on Kerr Lake. They have kept in touch and Wolfman actually called us last night to wish BR200 good luck.Wolf is on a good smallmouth pattern that will be good for his co-angler.BR400 didnt do nearly as well as the boy, but we are definitely excited about the event.I will be taking the college kids out tomorrow then head to Walmart fo the weigh in.It will be on FLW Live.
Good luck, hope the weather is cooperating and there isnt much wind. Did you stay north or run down our way?
Go get em, Brad! Best of luck!Andy GreeneGreene Boat & MotorAndy Greene Greene Boat & Motor 828-286-2290 http://www.greeneboats.com
Checked my home lake Everstart standings this morning and see Brad (BR200) did real well as co-angler coming in 4th. Congratulations and cant wait to hear where you fished and what was used. Wind kicked up Day 2 and anyone who ran south to down by me had a fun ride back to Plattsburg. North or south wind can turn Champlain into a monster with not only big waves but waves very close together which make for a tough ride.My ortho doctor came in 9th in the pro division. Way to go Dr. Snide! Went to see him for tennis elbow. Explained to nurse got it fishing on Champlain. Doc comes rushing out (no waiting for me) and grills me for 15 minutes on fishing Champlain before spent 5 minutes talking about my elbow. My kind of doctor! 1 , MYRON WORONA , HERMITAGE, PA, 5 16-02 , 5 14-12 , 10 30-14 , 5 13-14 , 15 44-12 , Ranger Boat, Motor, Trailer , || 2 , EMILY MCLEOD , WILLISTON, VT, 5 16-08 , 5 15-01 , 10 31-09 , 5 12-08 , 15 44-01 , $3,899 , || 3 , BRIAN KEISTER , CEDAR BROOK, NJ, 5 13-01 , 5 13-05 , 10 26-06 , 5 15-15 , 15 42-05 , $3,465 , || 4 , BRAD RUTHERFORD , LAVONIA, GA, 5 17-13 , 5 9-04 , 10 27-01 , 5 13-07 , 15 40-08 , $3,032 , ||
I was up there fishing that one with my new Puma and have to say that I was impressed with how nice it rode in that rough water and wish I had made the run down south where I had some nice fish. That place is just plain ugly when the wind blows either north or south. Met Schodackbassman down in Ti since he has the same colors as mine I had to stop and say hello. It was nice meeting you and seeing all those nice Basscats up there!
Nice meeting you also. Sharp boat and of course love the colors. Heading up in a couple days to stay/fish for a week. Then to St. Albins a couple weeks later to try fishing up north for the first time(co-angler) out of R boats. Hear its another world up north but I look forward to seeing what it is like. Tim – Hope to run into again some time. Oh yeah, the town where I got mine was Wakefield. Found it on the for sale board here. Couldnt think of the town near Waltham when we spoke one of those days… Got CRS since I retired…..
Brad fished the first day with the winner adn they made the ride to Ticonderoga….The winner just bought a 2010 Cougar FTd…it was the burgandy/gunmetal with white stripes that was for sale from Texas. He told me they drove there from NJ to pick it up. They were fishing Senkos. skinny dippers and jigs at Ti.BR200 said it was rough ride but when the got on down where the lake narrowed things smoothed up.BR200 had 13-7 with Wolfenden and they were all smallmouths caught on a tube while Wolfyman was bed fishing. They really had a good day just not enough weight to advance any higher. The smallies were a little thin due to the spawn. Everyone said they will really fatten up in a month.Adrian said he barely made it back Saturday afternoon. he said he jack-plate had lost two main side bolts and that the 250 was just barely hanging on. He really took it easy and said the motor was shaking real bad but they got back. I told him he is lucky that the motor was not laying on the bottom of Champain or even worse, in the boat with them.BR200 plans to go to the 1000 Islands now that he has a little cash to work with. Our friends we stayed with have a ride for him and they have room in their cabin for him.I fish both days up north and mainly fished a senko for largemouth and a tube or dropshot for smallmouth. I had a dominating 74th finish! I know 25 miles north in 4 foot waves was tough but I am sure 70 was brutal. I took the collge guys out in my Cougar Saturday and the Glenville WV College team just missed the top 5. Good kids and they had 5 that went 11-7. They said it is amazing that these bass boats dont split in half in the waves. The Cougar did a great job and I was about to pat myself on the back until I speared a wave right at the ramp. Soaked us real good. The area at Palttsburgh in front of the ramp was the worst of the rough water…it lays to the NW there and the wind was 20+ out of the SE so it was putting 4-5 footers just off the break water.Good to be back in Ga. after a long ride from NY but a great trip.
BR400,We assume your speaking of Myron Worona the non boater as buying a used rig in Texas. If Adrian Avena is running a 2010 BCB we did tno know that. You might bave BR 200 let him know about Quest so he can comply with the regs in the future. This one would have been a substantial bonus for him and he will be eligible for as long as he owns the rig, unlike other incentive programs. Either way please let them know that they could or may qualify. We had already planned on putting more on that up later today or this week as many do not realize that Quest is the only one that lasts as long as you keep your rig in todays rules. BCB
