Bucket seats with speakers

I am thinking about changing the seats in our P2 to the buckets with speakers. Can anyone give me some info on how the speakers perform and what brand are they. Will I still need to add larger speakers to get decent sound out of the system?

We pwould not invest in the speaker seats on a refurb., though would install wall mounted smaller speakers like the Kicker Tweeters.

Gee thats weird… weve installed hundreds of these speakers and we have not had very many issues. BCB

Im curious about the crossover comment. If by design no crossover is found in the seat speaker or the head unit (highly unlikely) then I would agree the speaker may be doomed but that would imply poor design resulting in a high failure rate…..right? Of course playing the system at full volume or to the level of distortion can be an issue for any speaker. Back in my youth I proved that theory.

Have had mine for almost two years and have played them at very high volume and have had no problems. But I would go with BCB recommendation as a no on the refurb just due to the cost. J Pro-Tec Productswww.protecproducts.com

We ( me and wife) love ours. We dont play it all the time. Weve had no troubles. Though if we did need to replace speakers. Does bcb carry these. Or will any speaker of this size work. To be honest I think the speakers in the seat balance the sound and makes it easy to hear while running. Our P2 is a 2016. So do you BCB consider that a refurb? I will have Aqua Tech Marine do the system install. Will they need to install a crossover as well?

If your replacing seats your refurbing, though this is more of an upgrade. We would go Kicker Tweeters and do a side install, or view secondary speaker options for the upgrade.Last edited by Bass Cat Boats on September 22nd, 2016, 1:39 am, edited 1 time in total.
