Just retired last winter and moved to the Bull Shoals area and was really looking forward to some good fishing this fall. The water is so high and I be leave it is still rising? It is getting hard to find any place to put the new boat in the lake. Oh well there is all ways next year.
There are plenty of fish biting on straight up and down bluffs right now. They are not big but there sure are plenty of them. Plus you dont stay hung up all the time either.
Like he said, go fish the deep bluff walls along the main channel. There is never time and place on that lake to where you cant catch something. You just have to try. The water Im guessing is gonna stay hi. oh well. They used to just let it all out before to keep it near normal. Now they are running it through the generators to get more energy out of the water. That lake has been high the past three to three and a half years.Dan Yonan. ———————————————————
You may have luck at the Fairview ramp or the Nubbin Ridge ramp, I know you cant launch at the free ramp at BSLBD, and not sure if you can get in near the shop, Im leaning more towards Nubbin
You could also check out lakeview. Extremely nice people over there. Fishing wise…. Idk. You have Howard creek nearby. And Noe creek isnt too far away. Ummmmmm….. Just keep searching. What part of bull shoals are you located?Dan Yonan. ———————————————————
Hey hawgwild, was that you at Fairview today? We went down to check the ramp and it looked like your trailer and truck. If it was did you do any good? Chris
Hay Chris, Yes that was me I had my old fishing buddy with me. We only caught 2 keepers. We never made it out to the main lake but we are going out again tomorrow morning. I will not put my boat in there again until the water goes down. We are taking my Buddys boat we can put it in about any where.
