I finally made a little jaunt to Greers Ferry to check out the hybrid action and all i can say is man ,,,,they pull your string ! The walleye were feeding a bit as well on spoons, and were much appreciated by one of my workers, who by the way helps me alot at the farm, so i will bring him some fresh fish now and then ! then, to the farm sat. afternoon for some r & r, ms. Lisa, Justin and his g-friend, and all three dogs were there, so not so much r & r as work and work ! Sunday was reserved for working on the “duck hole”, where the boys hunt, and cutting some trees and piling up to burn. DA#* im getting old !!! Me too old to handle ten foot chunks of tupelo trees ! Finally went home to pot of beans and cornbread, now recovering from that ! Anyway, hope yall have a great week, see ya on Greers next saturday ! D.
Doug, Im glad you were able to get out and catch a few. I havent been since my Club T. last weekend. I hear the walleye are some of the best eating fish around. We dont have any of those down here but they say the meat is about as good as Sac-a-lait (crappie for you yankees). Sounds like you had a busy, but great weekend. I am looking forward to next weekend when LSU can put a whooping on Bama. I will be off and barbecuing a bunch of steaks and drinking a few silver bullets. Talk at ya later. Sounds like fun. One thing I have learned from you and lad is I dont ever want a 2nd house…to much work and not enough fun. Now if I was like the two of you and loved mowing and maintenance then yes but I dont even mow my grass at my house why would I want a 2nd yard to deal with? Sounds like I need to come up for a spooning lesson Judd Lasiter
Judd If you had a job like Doug then the second house with the second yard is no big deal. Heck he spends more time during the week at the “FARM” than he does at work!
I resemble that remark ! NOT, but a good thought ! Just ask ol GG, he knows how little time i get to spend there. But, if yall enjoyed people like Luke and I you would understand that all the work is worth seeing our friends grinning faces when they come to visit, and make merry ! Cant wait for the next gathering at “the farm”, ITS FUN ! Almost ready for the “promised” visit ! You know who im talking to !
Sac-a-lait?? crappie??? how about real southern, speckled perch?? Martin
MAKE MERRY…THE LAST TIME I MADE MARY, IT WAS A SHOTGUN WEDDING
I dont know Doug–sounds to me like Judd is complaining and whining–and PA sure is harsh—maybe well just delete them boys –unless I;m reading them wrong—-
LAD Being the good guy that I am, I purposely left you out of the Swann statement. But since you want to call me harsh, I might as well be harsh. Not exactly sure how much work you do during the week either. Theres been a few times that Ive talked to you during the week and you were at the “RIVER” or you just got back from fishing with BoDiddle! When either one of you wants to trade jobs, let me know.
If i spent as much time on the water fishing as Phil does id win once in a blue moon, too ! I hear all this harshness,,,,,,but have yet to meet his wife and daughter ????? Wonder what their story would be ??? Dad works all the time,,,,or Dad fishes all the time ??? No sympathy here Phil,,,,,,work is good for YOU ! And dont mess with MY buddy Luke ! He has more jobs than both of us !
