Can Smartcraft gauges be added to a basscat that does not have them???

On a new one from production or an already manufactured boat? The system we use now is the SmartCraft software and even says Smartcraft when it comes on and cycles. It is a NexSysLink gauge and has almost every function that a BCB would use on SC gauges. If you have an already manufactured boat, then any Mercury dealership can add Smartcraft gauges to it. There are also functions on the NexSysLink gauges that the Smartcraft gauges do not have turned on, and these are glass lenses, as are the newest SmartCraft gauges of the last 6 months.
