I know it varies somewhat by boat, but I just got a new basscat with a 225 G2. It has an atlas jackplate. One of the reasons I got the jackplate was to be able to bury it deep in rough waves. All th way down on the JP I’m about 3.75 below pad. All the way up I’m .75 above pad. I would have assumed roughly the 1/2 way point on the jack plate would have been around 3 inches below pad – a good starting point for tweaking PTP.Does this seem right that the plate is this high. This is my first hydraulic JP so pardon the noob questions. The motor looks to be mounted as low as it can go (top hole on the motor mount). I haven’t tried to test top speed yet. With my yamaha sho the same 4 blade I was at 71 and 580O or so RPMs.
