Had a chance to see the new Caracal this weekend at local boat show. Based on prior reviews on here and elsewhere, I was really excited and figured this could be my next boat. Currently have a Eyra. The boat is really laid out well and the new front deck is awesome. All the feature previously discussed on here are spot on. There is a lot of great features for a 19 boat. The boat I looked at was a dual console which is what I would want. The space between the consoles is really limited with the offset seating and console. Also, if you like to sit on the front deck while you retie or change baits and have access to tackle storage, the dual console does not work. there is no place to sit and do this unless you opt for a single console. I am a bit height challenged at 58″ and noticed it is hard to reach the steering wheel unless you give up back support from the seat. If you are taller you will really like the extra leg room provided by the boat vs the Eyra which fits me perfectly. Lastly, if you are used to bigger rear storage you loose some of that as can be expected by dropping down from a bigger boat. There is not much room in the storage behind the passenger seat for a partners tackle so most of it will need to be on the floor or secured on the back deck. Other than these few items that might be unique to my likes and dislikes the boat is pretty impressive. The wider deck is really noticeable. Well done BCB.
The Caracal is a real nice tournament boat that rides really good, and is super stable as a platform, and still runs very well for its size. IT IS A BIG BOAT ! A wide boat, yet very nimble with a 24v troller. I can easily step from front to rear decks via the step box or the passenger rod box if nothing is on it. The depth takes the most getting used to, and is deceiving with bi-focals !Im most impressed with the ride.

I agree with the OP. I love the new Caracal. Its a well laid out SINGLE console 19 foot boat. To me the addition of the dual console was not well thought out. It was definitely engineered after being designed as a single console bass boat. To render the lower day box useless, and obviously have very little room between the dual consoles to sit or pass, it is not well engineered as a working unit. Remove the second console and you have the best 19 foot bass boat on the planet!! JMO.
The second box below the console is a tight fit because the function of that box is our goal. You can access the box and granted you have to crouch under the console, though otherwise we would simply not have a box to access. The cooler is accessible and the space between the windscreens is in line with other BCB models. The issue of no sitting space also exists on all bass boats if you choose to access the boxes you must sit on. Unless you shorten the deck and set it away from the consoles you have that to deal with. The longer decks are more preferred. BCB
I love my Caracal..it is a single console… wouldnt have it any other wayMo
I am in serious discussions about moving from my P2 to a Caracal.I already had Sherm price one out for me, I just need to sell mine first, should I decide to jump. One big thing is that I have not seen one in person yet. Im hoping Bass Cat brings one to the Classic. BCB are you bringing one? If not I may have to travel to a show soon…LOL
