It sounds like you need to have the newer style scabbard plate installed. I think BCB will take care of that. Might check with your dealer. Or, you could replace the rivets yourself I guess.Last edited by billius on March 18th, 2017, 12:50 pm, edited 1 time in total.

When I upgraded my 2015 scabbard to the new style I no longer had that problem as the new rivets supplied are perfectly sized.

It sounds like an aftermarket update to your net scabbard and the wrong rivets were used. If not then someone at the factory may have made a mistake. Avdel rivets leave no 1/2 curled end behind the panel.

Then the factory made a definite hardware error as mentioned. Your last post was not updated in our browser when we posted and we did not have the 2017 note. Our posts crossed. BCB

We apologize for the error and we would like the dealership to replace the rivets with Avdel. Of course you wold think they would stock the rivets, though most dont stock sealed compression rivets.

So I bought the caracal net from Basscat. It goes in thw slot fine getting it out is another story!!! It hangs on the rivets. Is there anything to do to fix that? Drill them out maybe and put short screws? Why leave 1/2 inch of rivet hanging out when netting will be going in and out?

I keep the handle out during tourney.system works pretty well after getting used to the design, IMO.Dave

Mine seems to slide in and out pretty easily. I did have to shorten the handle some, in order to get it in the scabbard. With it collapsed it was a bit too long.

I have the net that BCB offers. No complaints here, I can tug it out when needed.

I bought the one from bcb as well. My cat is a 2015. Do you have the new insert of the original one. there is a huge difference from what I understand.
