Doesnt have a drain hole for water to drain in the bilge…also the cup holder with a hole in the bottom drains into it. Drove and fished in the rain this last Sat. Went to add some oil and the compartment was full of water! No way to drain it out! Was it forgotten during production or just missed in design?? Thank… Colin Maple

Yes, it was obviously not drilled and the 1/2″ grommet installed, unless it is plugged.

Also, should the “day box” have a drain on it?? Has quite a bit of wetness in there…???

The original Caracal models did nt have drains the later models do have drains.

There is a drain on the newer Caracal models in the front day box, though not earlier 2015 models. Probably the last three months of production have this. The oil tank storage box is an oversight.

Can u tell me any changes since first production models? I am looking hard at this boat and dealer has one I believe is from first production models. Id like to know what changes have been made to decide if I want to order one or if this one on ground is the same as one I would order. I am pretty sure it was over 3 months ago it was made because it was in the boat show. I would not be happy with water in day box.

They added a drain on models after the first dozen or so to remove water out the font lip as the day box can be level or even downhill when stowed. If stowed uphill all should be good.

So is this something that Cat will address with the customer on the dealer level?

So if i want to purchase the one the dealer has is this somthing Bass Cat will fix or if i want it and let dealer know he can fix or is it something the factory needs to fix? Will factory fix this issue with drain hole for day box in first 15 models?
