Just bought a 1985 Caracal and was wondering the fuel tank size.Also it has a switch for the aireator but nothing for a recirculation pump (not sure if it has one, maybe under the fuel tank?). Does anyone know how the livewell system works on this model?The boat is in great shape overall and my son will be using it to fish college tournements out of. Thanks BC Cougar

That system only has the valve and the aeration which is a combination of aeration recirc. and freshwater in a 60/40 mix. The fuel tank size was 27 gallons for most.

Thank you BCB, I will probably have many more questions while working on this project. Can you add a aerator pump to this live well very easy? And or would you just add a timer in place of the switch?Do you all still offer many parts for this boat (switches and decals for now Im sure I will have more later)Thanks

Some parts are available and you can add a pump to the system you have with the same timer and switch use. Though you may have to bump the breakers or fuse size to a larger 10 amp. BCB

Most were not there Youngblood!The very early ones were aluminum tanked 19.8

Ours is a plastic tank.BCB how do you adjust the trim gauge (Merc 150)?

If you tilt the motor nearly full up and look on the port side of the swivel bracket you should see the trim sender. It is a black plastic round unit held on with 2 machine screws and has 2 wires coming out of it. To adjust all you do is loosen the 2 screws and rotate the sender either direction depending on direction needed. Tighten screws and test.Readjust as needed….Sherm
