carpet glue question

What kind of glue does the factory use? My carpet has started to come up on the rear deck. Old glue is either just deteriorating or is something similar to silicone. Feels very rubber like and I could rub it from the glass with my finger like a film of silicone.2008 pantera 2

I asked the factory about this last winter when I recarpeted my boat. They gave me a couple of different glues, I ended up using DAP Weldwood yellow contact cement. Worked great. I cant remember what the other option was. You can get the Weldwood glue at Home Depot or Lowes.Jason Ferbrache – Edmond, OK 1995 Basscat Eyra

3M super 90 works very well also. It is much simpler to use in my oppion.
