BCB.Were in the middle of a total gut job on a 93 Pll. Just finished the 1200 grit this afternoon. Now on to the 1500. I cheated and compounded and waxed a two foot area. I was stunned!! Shes gonna look brand new when were done.Ive been seeing a number of posts re: the 24oz carpet and how hard it is to open and close the lids after re-carpeting. Since Basscat uses 24oz on their boats, are the lids that difficult to use on a new boat? Does BC compensate for the thickness of the carpet in the dimensions of the lids?I just got my new carpet from BC and Id really hate to have to start shaving the lids. Im sure thats a fix, but it looks hideous.I do like the idea of shaving behind the hinges to gain a little clearance. What say you?
