carpet ?

i need to replace the carpet in 03 cougar the only problem i see is going to be the floor where it is under that black trim does the trim have to come off? or is it just stuck under would like to get some input before tearing in to it appreciate any help

That trim has adhesive and sticks on with a rivet occasionally. You can reset the carpet under the trim or replace the trim.
