I have a ’14 Puma tandem axle with brakes on both axles. Are the vault axle end units in the basscat store without brakes interchangeable with the ones with brakes? If they are, I assume the non brake one at 1/2 the price may be better for a spare as it doesn’t have the rotor that will rust. Anyone have any pics of a trailer mounted spare hub unit? If you had to swap it out after a failure, is the best option to remove the brake caliper, clamp the caliper piston closed to still be able to use the other brakes, and secure it somehow to the trailer?
