For future reference…This is for BOAT TITLES ONLY. I havent been able to find a list for trailer or outboard titling states but if I run across one Ill post it.Some states will require trailer titles, or outboard motor titles while others do not even title the boat. This can present a slight issue when purchasing a pre-owned boat in which you will need an MSO for the boat or trailer (in this case, the trailer) but some banks will not accept the MSO from a private seller…its a weird deal and it seems like the states would all get together and make this uniform from state to state but for some reason they dont….revenue / cost Im sure.Title States and Territories (often there are length or model year exceptions): CaliforniaDistrict of Columbia FloridaGuamIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKentuckyMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMissouriMontana N.
