Charging AGM batteries

Anyone charging 2 AGM in series with a Lester 20 amp 24 volt charger. I am wondering if would okay being careful not to cook them.

Charging 3 AGM batteries with a Lester 36V 20A charger with great results. Long day on the trolling motor and about 3 hours on the charger as soon as you can get them on the charger after you get off the water, gets real good results.

According to the factory rep they do not approve using the Lester charger that Basscat sells for AGM batterys…..They stated that it will shorten the life of the battery.I just inquired about this 30 days ago.There is a Lester model that DOES safely charge AGMs and conventional batteries,sorry I dont recall the correct model#.Thanks.

We are using the Lester successfully on BASS Elite rigs with AGM batteries. Though you can not allow an overcharge to the batteries and must monitor the time you charge. For a Touring Pro that becomes a part of his preparation at the end of his day, whereas a local angler tends to turn it on and forget unfortunately. We remain in our opinion based on our success rate.
