You can down load the manual from Mercury or you can figure out how to hold down the center Nd right button to enter the programming sequence and pay attention to the prompts, the turn off the paddle wheel option.
Im jumping in with another smartcraft question. Is there any way to cycle backwards in its menu? I always like to look at the water temp when I start the engine but that is usually one step back of the trim/tach setting I leave the left gauge on when running. I havent read the book yet but maybe someone else allready knows the answer.Thanks
You have the option of turning it off in the menu or telling the system you do not have a paddle wheel for trolling. It is searching for the paddle wheel.
