Just wanted to post a Congratulations to Cat Drivers and Team Trails competitors Chuck Hannaford and Chip Pillow for a strong 7th place finish in the Northern Regional of Team Trails on Wheeler Lake last week. I wont give away any patterns or lures, but neither of them had a lot of time on the lake for this event, and they put together a fine pattern quickly and fished it in some tough and windy conditions. There was a rumor going around that Chip had to restrain our resident psych/shrink from trying to work on the steering wheel of his new boat, but that is another story. Suffice it to say, guys with PhD after their names DO NOT need to be allowed to run loose with screwdrivers, hammers and crescent wrenches. Nice job, guys!!! Mike Whitten

I have to confirm the rumor that Chuck was considering working on his steering. I didnt see Chip restrain him, but it wouldnt surpise me. Good job, guys.

Scott, You have to admit–that is a scary picture–Chuck Hannaford anywhere near a new BassCat with a tool, especially a ball peen hammer. Nothing good could ever come from that picture! Whitten

I dont beleive that he would have nerve enough to work on it. I parked next to him and thought he was going to get out the dock bumpers to keep my 08 from rubbing against his. He certainly keep a clean and neat boat. Sharp looking colors as well.

OK, I will admit Im anal about how my boat looks and I will admit that tools and Chuck dont often go together. I know both of you have been talking to some of my so called friends. While not “Tim the Toolman” I do have some expertise with tools. Wont go into that however. I did get to watch my partner almost faint as he was getting a treble hook out of his thumb – I wanted to help and he would not let me near him. Imagine that! Scott, I did try and I do appreciate the compliment on colors. I am getting a kick out of Whitten having a good time with this. I know where he got his information. Thanks for the congrats. There were 93 boats fishing the T and we only had one other boat try to come in on us. These new hulls handle the rough stuff incredible.

AW Dude, Im seeing more jokes here than Larry the Cable Guy could tell in a one hour monologue. Chuck, PLEASE tell me that CP did NOT pull that hook out with pliers. We had just discussed how to do it with the line and some numbing spray. Durn, that hurts me from here!!! And the ONLY comment I”m making about the “ToolMan” is that I know where to go to get independent verification on that comment—-and just remember, you dont need to be taking them blue pills three at a time. Ive told you more than once that much Alleve at one time is not good for a man of your age—Wait a minute–Those pills you had were Alleve, RIGHT???? Whitten

Dont get me in the middle of this. i was just an innocent bystander…with a hole the size of Boston in my thumb. Yes Mike, I did have to man that treble hook out. I need to know where you got that numbing spray…so I can shoot it up into my nose the next time I do something stupid like that. LOL! CP
