I am looking to purchase the cooks tackle management system from Tackle Warehouse. I want to put at least one rack underneath the rod locker lid on the starboard (right side). I have heard people either use stainless steel screws (assuming buying them from a local hardware store), taping screws (assuming comes with the kit), or some form of 3M tape. I do not have any metal hinges on the bottom of the lid to attach the rack to. I also do not want the screws coming through the other side of the lid or cutting some foam out of the lid. What is the best way to attach the rack to these type of lids? I would use the tape if it held strong. Or if I can use stainless steel screws that would hold better, that would be even more preferred. There appears to be a bar or some type of support running through the middle of my lids. Bass Cat screwed a light on that bar to the right of the lid handle, so it appears you can screw into it. If using screws, what kind/size? Any comments/help would be appreciated. I have had them in all of my cats and where you are talking about. I have used to outdoor “RED 3-M” tape and it worked really well until some rough water and too much tackle hanging on it brought it down. Now I still put it on first , but now use two of the small “self tapers” that come with the system and I have had no problems. Just remember to stay on the support bar that you are showing. You only want to screw into the frist layer and it should be good, hense using of the short screws. I have had them in a Cougar FTD, 2 Pantera II, and maybe a new Eyra that is being bulit.

I used self taping and are holding good they dont get wet so no rust
