Im moving to an XI5 this year, i have noticed that the footprint that the actual motor mounts with is much much smaller than the MG tour digital that i had mounted onto the boat. I saw a video of an XI5 on a cougar and saw that it looked to have a large aluminum plate that the motor was bolted to and the plate bolted to the cap of the boat. Is this what Bass Cat is recommending with these motors? Or was this particular person just using that plate to mount to the original holes to keep from drilling more holes into the cap?
