Cougar ftd setup

Ok guys need some advice on prop and jack plate setting. I have a 2012 Cougar ftd dual console with 250 pro xs with 25p fury 3 blade with vents open and 3.5 inches below pad. Boat has 2 poles, four batteries and a fortrex. With half a tank of fuel, moderate tackle load and 2 guys I am seeing 75mph at 6000 rpms. Hole shot is great as well as mid range. Just curious if raising the plate or going up to 26p fury will give me anymore speed or is this about what I should expect with this setup. Thanks. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

Raising plate will do nothing for you since youre already at 6k rpms you should consider a 26 fury 3 or prop work. You should be 77 with good prop and good driver. Maybe a touch more.

Thanks for the help Phil kinda what I was thinking as well. Figure I would need to go up some on the plate with a 26. What do you think would give me better results? Working the 25 or stock 26? Jackplate setting seemed low to me compared to other cats Ive been in but this is my first 20 ft cat so I wasnt sure. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

I have the exact same year, model, and set up. Boat came from the dealer with a 26 Fury and that works just fine. Will run about 77. Hole shot alone is fine. 2 people with full livewells is understandably slower but acceptable. Im happy with itSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
