Im going to run a couple different props this weekend to see which I like overall on my Cougar 225 XS I have a Trophy 26 now thats damaged, so while it goes to the prop shop, I was going to try out a 26 Tempest and a 26 Fury. Any other 225 Cougar guys want to lend any suggestions to other props or pitches to try?

Thinking a 25 Fury might be a good fit with the 225.

I have run all 3 on my Puma 225 Pro XS and settled on a 25 Fury for best all around performance. 26 Tempest was the quickest on top end. 26 Trophy was fine in cold weather but a bit too tall in the summer though had a great holeshot. Want to see some very impressive speed try a 27 Tempest in the cold weather running a light load.

Ever tried a four blade. Youll loose top end but the whole shot is amazingly quick. If your on rough water with big waves a four blade lets you ride the wave crest all day long. If you get the chance let me know what you think.Practice Angling CPRCatchPictureRelease2010 PIV 200SHO

We would try the 25 Fury and no try the Tempest. The other option is to just replace the Trophy. Prop shops generally have a hard time replacing the cup and pitch in a used propeller and getting me to perform like it did.
