looking to get a new cat. in a 2009 pantera classic right now. i would like to try a 20 ft boat. any one have any any experiences with a cougar or puma with a mercury 300 xs on the back of one of these boats ? any in put would be great. thanks !
There is not a huge gain on performance over a 250 on a heavy boat, as the horsepower is only about 20-25 ponies. 300 engines usually are just 300 HP and 250 engines can run into 275 on max 10% overage.
