Finally got done with the ordering process with Danny over at Gwinns Marine in Mt. Ida. Whew! (but I have to say hes very patient and knowledgeable to work with, nice folks!) even though my wife wanted some gosh-awful gawdy colors, but she gave in…… Silver Cougar FTD w/250XS PRO and some nice incentives with BCB and Merc going on this month Im looking forward to seeing this boat, and Im planning to finally take some vacation time when it comes in so I can get to know her really well——yeehaw!John Helms Hot Springs, AR

Welcome to the group here! This is the Bass Cat Family and is comprised of folks like yourself and the many other owners from new to used boats going all the way back. Ive checked this forum regularly for quite a while now during the boat decision (indecision?) process, and I am totally comfortable with my (our ) selection even though I dont even have my hands on the boat yet. Not knocking other boat builders out there, because there are several good ones, but to say that Im already impressed is an understatement. You guys have got a good thing going here, and I look forward to many good memories in the making!PS: good idea there, gclayfam! John, sure sounds like a sweet boat. I too was unfamiliar with BassCat and just jumped and this board and the board on BBC and BassCat owners seemed to be very satisified with their boats, more so than other owners. I fish Ouachita alot and would love too hook up next time we are down there at the same time. Those silver cats sure do look sharp. Cant wait to see pictures. -Lee

Thanks, Lee. My current plans are all about Lake O, since Im only 15 or 20 mins from the closest ramp. I work pretty heavy hours during the week, but with the long days I can still get down there for afternoons. Im hearing about 2.5 weeks from Danny, so well see how it goes. Ill probably take the week off when it does get here, or the following one to be able to take my time and break her in right Ill certainly see you there soon!John Helms Hot Springs, AR
