As we get into summer, we have seen several cranking batteries get replaced by owners of all boats. We again want to express that the new boat customer request and be certain that they are receiving an adequate cranking battery for the rig they have purchased. It will only cost you less than another $100 to upgrade from the 1000 CCA 24 series batteries to a larger 27 or 31 series case AGM style. Though you will save that money in a few years on the non replacement of that lesser battery. We have gone on record hard that the cranking battery is more important than the trolling batteries. Just make sure you charge the troller batts well and keep water in them and you should be fine with most any style. BCB
