I have a PII and no cup holders because I have the seat instead of the center console. I am going to add the folding style cup holders but wanted to know if I could cut in and install cup holders in the back side of the center seat?
The fold down cup holder, step, throw cushion holder is handy unless you have more then two in the boat very often. Note regarding throw cushion compartment. Check it once in a while in case a critter has made a nest in there. I found one last week….. I hadnt pull the cushion out in a year but something told me to pull it and Im glad I did.
I am fixing to install power pole and will have to cut some holes for switches, so not worried about cutting holes. I guess I should ask what the center seat is backed with (wood, plastic or composit) I dont like the look of the folding cup holders and just thought if I could add two recessed cup holders to the back of the center seat it would be a cleaner look.
BJ, shodackbassman is talking about the center step box that you can install in place of the center seat. It has cup holders built in to it and folds forward to reveal throw cushion storage and it also gives a stepup to the rear deck without having to step on seats.
Yeah I understand that but I need the seat at times for when my daughters are with me and when the center seat is folded down its no biggie to step on it. It even has a non slip backing for that reason. I just wondered if it is possible to cut two holes and add the recessed cup holder in it? I guess I will take some messurements when I get home and even take apart the back of the seat to see what I will be cutting into.
