Topic: Cup Holders in a Classic anyone?

I was wondering if anyone has installed a “cup holder” in a Classic? If so, what kind and where did you put it? I am considering this but cant come up with a sure-fire product or placement. If you did install, would you take a picture and send to me or place on the forum? BCB this might be something you would consider the next time you make improvements. Just a place to put the coffee mug in the morning while launching and waiting for take-off…. Oh yeah….I have the fold up seat with step, so I could always replace it with the insert that contains cup holders I guess.Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!

The fold out models work well and give you holders and stow out of the way.

I installed 2 of the fold out models on my 2001 Classic. Have been there for years now and still doing o.k. Once you get past the issue of drilling into your pretty fiberglass its not too bad. I will see about taking pictures and putting them up for you, but, my computer has been on the blink lately so I cant promise anything. I will try though. fold outs and I used double sided tape to mount and have been in place for a few years now. Gets you past the drilling part. Sorry I am not close to boat to get pics. pant 2 Bob

Hey, thanks for the responses and possible pictures. I was looking at the fold-out models myself. Double-sided tape?? I would not have thought that would hold up, but obviously it does. Lets see now…..measure, measure, double check, fret, measure, double check, fret, measure,deep breath…..drill and mount. Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!

I have a 2008 Classic with a white cap. I used the white fold down holders and two sided tape that has the foam cushion in the middle. The colors match nicely. I put one on the passenger sidewall left of the glovebox. The other I put just left of the ignition switch. The tape has held up well but if I ever want to relocate I can remove them easily with no hole or damage done. Good luck. Mike Paris, AR
