So my wife consented to looking at cabins (small homes really) down in Central Ky. She is actually ready to make a purchase for the right price. Im at Green River quite often, but have never been on Dale Hollow. Found what we were looking for close to the State Park at Dale Hollow. They have what appears to be a really nice marina there that is privately run. Also looked near the Wolf River Marina and it was nice, but not like the other. Doesnt appear to draw the crowds like Cumberland. So can anyone familiar with Dale Hollow and the fishing there chime in? I know the small mouth are what its known for, but thats about all I know, other than it being deep and clear. Would welcome any info about property issues or really anything you think would be helpful.Thanks

I live in southern ohio but make DHL run 2-3 times a year . My favorite lake on earth , it has great quality smallies not quantity like erie or st clair but a lot more fun and you can fish it year round and in any wind you can find a calm place to fish . Good luck

Dale Hollow is a great lake year round. It is an absolutely beautiful lake for summertime activities. My neighbor had a place down there for a number of years and loved it. It was getting a lot more summer traffic when Lake Cumberland was in repair, but that should be less now. Night fishing is big in the summer for smallies. Website you need to check out is Smalljaw.com for the smallmouth fishing. Many of the spring tournaments are won with largemouth so there is a good population as well.I visit several times typically during late fall and winter. I like it a lot, but I am partial to Ms. Brown!

Thanks SmallyCat. Outstanding link to get my education started on DH. And who doesnt love Ms. Brown? Ive just been slow to the party!
