What color wire is hot and what wire is ground on the accessory switch on the panel of my 09CougarFTD? I want to add a small string of LED lights under the dash.

I just installed my bluewater LED deck lights on the ACC switch. I believe the wire was orange or pink, it had a wire connector on it so it was ready to go.basscat24

On my 04 Classic it was orange and about 3 ft long. It was coiled up in with the rest of the wires.

Bill- it was orange on my P4 as well.

I realize this is an old thread, but after a search I couldnt find exactly what I needed. I Found my ACC free wire, but what do you ground, say a Bluewater LED light, to when you use this ACC wire for power. Britt

Check whee the wires from the cig lighter go to or ground to it

There should be a ground coming off your console courtesy light that would be open.

BCB, when you say open from the courtesy light, what exactly does that mean? That I can Tap in to that wire? or open like the ACC wire that is just free. Secondly, I am not sure what courtesy light you are speaking of, is there one around the dash some where? (2010 Jaguar) I love having this site!!! Even after searching for my answer and not finding exactly what I needed, less than 1 hour and I have several helpful suggestions, including one from BCB!Thanks, Britt
