Deans Cover

I am purchasing a 2008 Cougar FTD with a single console. This boat comes with a Deans cover however I am planning on adding the passenger console . Will the cover still work or will I need a different one? Thanks

They are “T” fasteners, and a slotted holder that screws to the top of your boat fender. One on each side. The “T” slides on the cover strap to hold down, the cover at the fender. Call Deans and they will tell you how to position them. I agree–they need instructions as to installation. Not hard, but they are not intuitive as to location and function, either. On top of your fenders if you prefer a fender mounted top clips to hold it taught.

Here are some photos of the clip placement for the Deans Cover on my last boat. There were zero issues when positioned here. I hope this will help. Sorry for the last two being a little dark. I remembered I shot them in the dark.

I just had a cover made for my P4 also, I wish mine had that strap. If you dont get the “Band” rope very tight, The rear will blow up like a ballon. I bet this will have helped. Who should I make a phone call to? Thanks, Eric

When I got my P4 cover it did not have the clips either, I called up Deans and they mailed them to for FREE! Cant beat that, even the suppliers have the same good customer service as BCB. I marked the location on the inside of the cover and took it to the local upholstery shop.

I got a new cover with my new Cat but did not have these included with my cover. Are these an extra addition since this past July?????

I wonder if Deans can modify it from a single to dual if there is a difference, for a lot cheaper than a new cover.http://www.deanstop.com/
