Deans or Aurora cover Recommendation

Which cover would yall buy for a 07 Pantera 2!! Pro and Cons of each!! Thanks in Advanced.

I would buy the low profile Aurora, I have had both, the Deans has worn my clear coat and the high profile Aurora sucked too much dirt in from the back. I think the low profile Aurora is the best of both worlds and will buy that one on my next Cat. Mike

Ive never had an Aurora cover, only the Deans covers and the BCB dust cover I have now. The Deans cover was very well built, but as has been said, it rubbed my gel coat something terrible on one of my other Cats. I never tow with a cover on anymore, but if I wanted one for towing, from what I hear, the Aurora is the one to get.

I have no issue with my Deans cover…its a nice unit. It tow it at least 10,000 miles per year with no issues at all. Im a firm believer that the most important thing is to ensure the cover is tight, tight from front to back. Lay the cover over the boat, secure the rear (transom) straps first. I then work my way from the front to the back, alternating sides so its even as you make your way back. When those straps are tight, I pull the drawstring rope as tight as I can get it. Secure the loose ends of the straps and youre set. Just my $.02.Advantages are taken, not handed out…

I have the Deans cover and like it. I use it when trailering long distances and if the weather looks questionable. I have never experienced any buff marks or scratches on the finish. I did have one issue with the cover that could have been my fault and they replaced it with no questions asked.

If youre worried covers rubbing the boat on long towa get a roll of saran wrap. Put this down before the cover goes on will eliminate rub marks from the cover.

I have an aurora cover, dont get me wrong well made cover! but completely usless to tow with on my boat IMO. The cover extended over my motor provides too much drag, and doesnt fit snugly ever.The covers that Triton have seem to be the best going in that its roll it over ratchet it on, done….my straps are tearing from trailering etc…the ocver is now really just a dust cover, and IMO the one that BCB has works better at trailering. If someone would trade for a decent cover Id be all in

My friends new Ranger is a the same. Its a strap style cover and Boat Buckles clip on the motor and you ratchet it tight. Great design.
