Decal Removal

Curious to see if anyone has ever removed Decals from their boats before. I would Like to remove the “Margay” decal from the top cap of my boat…Not sure if there is a way to do so without doing any damage. I hope BCB doesnt take any offense to this, I have an all white top cap… I have photo shopped it, and the flow of the boat would look a lot better without the name up there. Any suggestions?

I use plastic razor blades and a heat gun, but any good sharp plastic scraper and a hair drier will work, and use WD-40 to remove the glue residue, then clean and wax her up good.

Xylol or Acetone will get rid of the glue.

Heat gun and once you start to get the sticker up put WD-40 on the line where the sticker is still attached. Wd-40 softens the glue. BCB recommended this to me and my stickers had been on for 14 years.”A hair dryer will loosen up the old decal, and enamel reducer (or WD40) will remove the glue.
