I posted this over on BBC but figured I would reach out to my basscat brethren. Originally my Margay had a 788c in the dash. Original owner had dealership (regal marine) put a 998c in the dash and moved the 788c to the bow. There was some uncertainly from original owner as to what steps they had taken but he had confidence at minimum the units were networked, they are. The feedback I was getting was that I would need to get a y cable and split the SI/DI and 2D sonar using the shoot thru the hull transducer from the original 788c. Well, today I confirmed a Y cable already exists under the console. So at this point Im out of options. Is this something Im going to have to live with?
