Detwiler/Talon installation

I have a 2009 Puma Ftd with Detwiler jack plate. I am getting different answers about mounting options and want To know for sure before I order everything. I also have the ELadder. I want to know if I can use the Side Jack Plate Bracket. I know I would have to drill holes in Jack plate or do I have to use the sandwich brackets which mounts Between the motor and Jack plate?

I used the universal side mount brackets made for the Talon and they bolted direct to my Slidemaster. The brackets are such that they fit into the holes already made in the jackplate. I have two 10 Talons and they work very well. The ladder will be of little use, at least on my Cougar FTD. The ladder can not be deployed with the bracket installed on that side. Now, I not sure about you brand of jack plate. Mine is a manual type and not a power jack plate. The mounts are universal.

Thank You for your response however I need to know specifically if it will work with Detwiler KNOWING I have to drill holes in Detwiler. I was already aware it would for slidemaster which I dont have

So if you have an Atlas Jackplate, can you use the Jackplate Brackets or do you have to use the Sandwich brackets with a 4″ Atlas jackplate to install Talons?

You can use Side Jack Plate bracket with Atlas. Holes will have to be drilled in Atlas and it Will NOT void warranty

So can you drill the Detwiler plate? Or is the ONLY option the sandwich brackets between the plate and the hull?

We have drilled Detwiler or SeaStar plates for power pole brackets.
