The new 360 Humminbird transducer is great and all. But did you know that you do not have to have one for the front if you already have SI. Your trolling motor turning left and right gives the 360 you need. Only if you want it for the back will you need to spend the $2000 for it. If I am wrong about this, let me know. Im still looking for Humminbirds to buy without having to purches new. I was in my buddys boat and discovered what I just said because he was wanting to buy one.

Yes though the transducer moving in rotation gives bands that are narrower patterns close and wide patterns outside the fan radius. The new 360 is a replication of the structure in reduced form.

BsssCat have you had a chance to see this in action yet? I know its not available till the end of the summer. Heck, I need all the help I can get to shoot fish in a barrel. Yep, I said it and yep, Im a weekender that likes to much performance. At least that is my excuse.

I played with it on my buddys boat and when I change the view to one side or the other, I showed him that he could sit in one spot and search under multiple boat docks without even moving.

You probably could even follow your A-rig to see how deep it is as it swims back to the boat, lol.
