This past weekend fishing on T-Bend in all the cold miserable heavy rain I decided to un-plug the trolling motor when charging the batteries. I then remembered that my 24 v set up is jumped in the TM plug and not at the batteries so this wasnt an option to get a full charge. Is there any benefit to having the batteries jump at the plug vs. being jumped at the batteries? Looking at the wiring schematics on the trolling batteries theres one white and one red heavy duty wire coming off the positive post of each battery. Also, theres one each heavy black wire coming off each negative post. So thats 4 heavy duty wires heading up front to the tolling plug (female), if I decide to jump the batteries in the back is it as simple as adding a jumper wire and disconnecting the jumper in the plug(male)? I assume the jumper will connect to a positive post to one battery to a negative post on the other? I bought the boat new wired this way so I figured it was done for some reason Im not aware of , trolling motor stays plugged in at all time to receive full charge.I hope I explained this correctly,Brian
