Sure would have liked to have been there. Planning on going to the TBCOE. Sounds like its going to be a good one also. Patiently waiting to hear about the GAF and SEBCOG, though. Hope they are all having fun,and have a safe trip home.
Not too many details but the word out of SEBCOG was it was pretty windy out there on the main river yesterday and was supposed to be 20-25MPH today.
They wont all fit in Britts Jaguar!

Great to meet him and the rest of the guys. Kelly and company did a FANTASTIC job. Thanks to all who volunteered. It was much appreciated. I want to make one personal observation from SEBCOG. Kelly White organized all of this and didnt even fish the tournament. What a great ambassador he is for BassCat and what a quality person. We all owe him a major thankyou for extending his sincere passion for BassCat boats. Thank you Kelly!!! Saturday mornings special treat was the new black BassCat T-Shirts, Kota Kiriyama was there to play Rock, Paper, Sicssors for his sponsored lures in the afternoon. I saw him go to several boats taking pictures and impressively extending a quality sincere handshake to everyone. Now that was cool. The catering service was supreme. I can go on and on with the great fun and gift tangibles because there was very little action on the end of my fishing pole for me to share. I sure dont want to add boring details about the 12-14 1/2″ bass we put in the boat! Thats okay. The big “G” got the best of me this time but Ill return with a vengeance. Side Note: Man was it windy!!!! Okay, I am done with all my excuses. I promise. Its easy to reflect on this weekend and realize I am blessed. I got to fish with my brother and we did it out of a BassCat boat. As a notable California governor onces said. “Ill be baack”.Last edited by Flyswatter on October 4th, 2010, 12:40 pm, edited 5 times in total.
GAFWas a blast!First one I have been to, thanks to Judd for the invite!Lukes place was awesome and they all did a great job making everyone feel at home.Really enjoyed meeting everyone. Thanks to Doug for sending me a savior 15 miles down river, jag developed a severe oil problem, we wouldnt have made it back without the assist.Ill let some of the others throw in more details.Kevin
Tom, thanks for the kind words. I am sure that others will be along soon to post their experiences at SEBCOG. I will give them a chance before I reat them on on some of their adventures. Heres a little teaser…who else have you seen throw a tailgate party at a steakhouse while waiting for their table, and then get thrown out after the bill is paid? LOL More info to follow soon as I get to it!
I could not make it to the sebcog, or even at least told you guys that i wasnt going to be there. I am on my 21st day of 10 to 12 hour days at work, and the crapper of the thing is, is that i have been working in Many, la ,and staying in Nachotochous or how ever you spell it, and i couldnt even go to the GAF. I like that money though, i hope you guys had a great safe time. Maybe next year
Kelly,Guntersville is a tremendous draw lake and Val Monte Resort in is a great place to host the event. Its very nice to have our boats tied off outside the rooms at the pier. Thats a very nice touch of convenience. Get up, walk out the door, go to your boat and go fish this awesome lake.
I just got home from SEBCOG about an hour or so ago. What a great event!!! I cant add much to what Swatter said. But of course, being verbose…Ill try. Thanks to BCB, 3 Alabama BassCat Dealers and many other sponsors! Kelly White, Jay Carroll and others did a great job setting this event up!!! Every possible BassCat bassboat model was represented. The weather was tough, nice sunny sky, but very windy especially today. Big time waves…but my CougarFTD was up to the challenge. I also want to let BCB know how appreciative all of us were for Kota being there. He came to my boat at the dock and talked to myself and my partner for quite some time, even took pictures of my boat and gave me some ideas for setting it up!! He is a class act that BCB can surely be proud of!!! This tournament was yet another example of how great it is to be a member of The Family!!Last edited by billius on October 4th, 2010, 1:44 pm, edited 2 times in total.
