I went to a boat show today that was totally sponsored by a Bass Cat dealership and the only boats that were there was Champions and Alumawelds (plus a bunch of ski boats). i ask one of the employees where the Bass Cats where and he said ” we left them back at the dealership because there was not enough room”. I told him he could have left some of the 10 or so Champions at the dealership and he turned and walked away. At that point I left, nothing else to see there. Not that the Champions are not a good looking boats, just not a Cat. I just wondered why they would go to all of the trouble of hosting the boat show and not take a few of the Bass Cats. I was told by a friend this Dealership told him once they sold their present inventory they would no longer be selling BassCat Boats. If this is true Im sure another Dealership will pick them up. We all know BassCat holds each Dealership to very high standards. Hey, its the Dealerships loss and hopefully your gain. Keep your head up. Basscat will find you another Dealer. I was just getting a little trust back in them. They really did a goood job installing my jack plate and ended up making good on another problem for a friend that I had swayed toward BCB. If they lose the dealership then I hope that we pick up another one. Other wise I will be heading toward West monroe for service. ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud
Who knows it still might work out but if it doesnt be thankfull your a BassCat owner. No matter what dealer we go to for service well be treated as family and that comes from BassCats stern high standards for customer service. If you ever decide to come to EKs here in West Monroe give me a heads up, would like to meet you. Glynn
I am disappointed they have not improved. I thought maybe we had just stopped on a bad day. First off they seem to have some nice folks there, but the rest is lacking. This is our experience with them. When we first got in the market for a boat, we started researching the major brands and narrowed it down to three choices and we tried to find some dealerships we could look at them side by side. Anyhow I called over to find out what they had, as it was pretty good drive for us. They had two of the boats we were considering and the other brand was right down the road from them. Anyhow we get over there and they have around three Cats. They were all three looking bad and one was just terrible, filthy and very weathered. I doubt you could make them look completely new, even though they were advertised as new boats. Anyhow we ended up leaving there and going down the road to their competetor and nearly bought another brand there. However, we knew we really wanted a BC from all the good reports we had read. We also prefer to buy American and deal with smaller companies and dealerships were you can get service when you need it. Needless to say we went to another BC dealer that treated us very well, takes care of their boats and we became proud owners of a BC.
There are all kinds of things that could be going on that I will not speculate but R&R in Pittsburgh was just granted a dealership and that isnt to far from you west LA boys. Of course if you want to drive just a little further Tommy and Eldon @ Rockwall Marine are always willing to help get you fixed up. Judd Lasiter
