We had some nice weather in Alabama last weekend and decided to get out of the house and into the sun. We recently purchased a Jeep and thought we would go for a ride through a local wildlife management area and take a short hike near the Cahaba river. While riding through the woods, we crossed the path of one of the April 27th tornadoes. It was amazing to see a stretch of forest that was leveled in seconds. After cresting a hill, we came across something that had no business being in the middle of nowhere. It looked like someone dumped a 73(?) model Cat. What a shame to see something like this just abandoned in the woods.
That is a April of 1973 Deluxe Tournament edition, missing the console of course. The boat was built for Marine Mart, which we believe was in Jackson, Mississippi. Dont know if a drawing exists or not, though we dug that up. BCB
The most recent registration sticker on it was 2003 so it may have been out there for close to 10 years. At least the boat provided 30 years of service.
