Topic: Does anyone have the BCB “Dust Cover”?

I really do not need a full Deans Cover because I store my Cougar FTD in my garage and go on few far trips etc. I am planning a trip to Lake Fork (maybe Guntersville) in May and I hear it is sandy as “all can be” by Fork. Can you tow with the Dust Cover? Will it scratch the finish? Can I order it with extra material like the new Deans Cover (so I am told)? Is it waterproof? Who makes it and is it available in other colors (probably not)? Anything else I should know about it? I know there a lot of questions and thank you in advance. -Steve

I am assuming you are asking about the white shipping cover that bcb puts on all the boats @ the factory while the boat is enroute to the dealers. They are great and if you are keeping your boat indoors.. that cover will work great for trips to and from the lake… they are lighter weight… virtually waterproof…. soft on the inside. It wont scratch your boat and it is easy to get on and off your rig by yourself…. the other thing I like is that it does not cover the engine so you never have to deal with windflap andf swirl marks on the outboard cowling. The aurora covers ar thicker and much heavier… They are a great product as well but probbaly not needed in your case…

Steve, I used one of the dust covers on my new Puma until my Aurora arrived. The one I used was far from waterproof though and all of the boats outside at the dealer that had them were very wet inside. You can tow with one but they will not stand up to nearly as many trips as a Aurora or a Deans. As Mike stated, they are great for indoors and have a soft lining. I am not sure of the cost of these dust covers or who makes them for BCB but I am sure they can help you with this. Once you get a cost, you will have to make a value judgement on a dust cover vs. a real cover. By the way, I am only about an hour from Fork and I can verify that it can get duaty at times. If I can help with you r trip, let me know!

i have the dust cover and that is what it is a dust cover not a towing or rain cover very soft ndust proof not rain or wind proof great foe keeping the boat dust free in a garage.
