Does fuel price affect sales of smaller models?

Just curious if the increase in prices make the smaller models more attractive being more fuel efficient?

I’d think if you can afford the boat, you can buy the gas. Boats aren’t known to be very fuel efficient anyway. Might cut down on long runs a bit. Most aren’t concerned about cost for a day on the water…..

I get that, but fuel is an operating cost for those that fish a lot and you can’t put it on a 15 year note like a boat lol. I’ve always thought of Basscat like my Corvette’s being a performance boat makes it more fuel efficient as its lighter and more aerodynamic(got 30mpg driving my C5 back from Philly to Texas with an average speed of 78mph), though that hasn’t been the trend necessarily yet gas has been relatively cheap.
