Downsizing???

Who has downsized. Been looking at bigger boats. But Im thinking price wise etc. Im gonna step back and buy a smaller rig. I really do only fish a rather small lake so that mite be the direction I head. Not to mention fuel costs etc. just looking for opinions

I went from a classic to a sabre, but that was because of limited garage space. Got beat up pretty good at the OI…

Check with Flyswatter. He went from an Eyra to a Sabre FTD. It is my understanding he loves his Sabre.

Tom- Dont forget that Awesome P4! But then again i think you only got about 9.9 hours in tht rig! Haha. Personally if downsizing were to be the option it would be any of the 19 footer that BCB offers. If space is of concern id go with the P- Classic/200 combo. If not id go with the P4. Now dont get me wrong i absolutley loved my Sabre, but after having the P4 and now a puma, the P4 is about the smallest i would ever be willing to “downsize” to. Though I have not been in the sabre FTD/175 combo, if it drives anything like my sabre/150 xrs did (which im sure its better) then that is one fun boat to drive.

I would go to a p2 in a minute. A buddy of mine had a classic and it was a ball to drive!

Jason, I agree with all your comments completely. Yep, that PIV is one heckuva a boat. If you find the PII to your liking you better hang on. Its a freaking rocket under the arse experience. Boy did I have fun driving Kelly Whites PII/200 Etec, Bama96 PII/200SHO and know a PII powered 200 ProXS provides the same thrills. FAST, FAST, FAST!!! Its almost not fair in comparison to other boats if speed is your thing in a traditional Bass Boat footprint. Downsizing is a mind set IMO and if you have to do it BassCat makes that transition comfortable with stellar 18 and 19 boats. Ill tell you this. If I did not like my SabreFTD after my 2010 Eyra/200SHO experience Id would have sold it by now. The boat is perfect for me at this time and Im sure glad Im still in the pride after paying for a wedding. BASSCAT IS Strong!
